I need a new journal since my name doesn't fit anymore. so here it is. I am now mrsdort aka the happiest person in the whole world.

Saturday was amazing. it was the most perfect day ever. all our hard work and planning paid off times ten. the wedding was beautiful, the reception was so much fun and the whole weekend has been great. everyone at the wedding was so helpful and so generous and we couldn't have asked for anything more. the kids were great, more details (and pictures for louissa) to follow soon!

I definitely should have taken another day off from work. I am so sore and tired today. I hurt all over, except luckily my headache is gone. but if I hadn't come to work I would have missed free lunch!!! hot dogs and hamburgers and potato salad and coleslaw and chips and cookies and soda, yay! I forgot to bring my lunch in today so you can't beat that. Brian and I are taking tomorrow off to finish up our wedding errands. my aunt and uncle are coming in from Boston for the wedding so we'll get to see them tomorrow night. I still haven't heard from the claims adjuster about my car. I had to drive Brian's car (the Punisher) to work today. Brian's mommy called me at work this morning to see how I was feeling. she is so sweet. my thoughts and this post are very scattered right now. I should go work. see everyone on Saturday!

we're getting married on Saturday, I'm so excited!!! we went to the reception place last night to decide where to take pictures and how to do the sound. Brian's brother and his mommy were there. it was fun. some bad news though, I got into a huge car accident today on the way to work. I was the fifth car in a five-car crash. I'm mostly okay, some minor aches and bruises from the seatbelt and airbag. the car is pretty fucked up though, the windshield is all cracked up because of the passenger side airbag, the front is all smashed up. the insurance company dude thinks that they might total it. I don't even know if that's a good thing or not. it doesn't even matter, either way it fucking sucks. as does the timing. but things could have been a lot worse so I'm trying to be thankful that they weren't. I'm tired. I guess I need to go lay down some more.

ps - Brian is amazing. he's been so supportive and comforting and wonderful and positive all day. I couldn't ask for anything more.

wow, everyone was LJ posting fools this weekend, even the boy. and I didn't even get online, which is unusual for me. we were super busy with wedding stuff (5 more days!). on Saturday I got my hair done the way I want it for the wedding, I miraculously found a great new hairdresser to do it next weekend. she also waxed my eyebrows a little, which was a first for me. I like it. we ordered some flowers for the wedding and also did some baby shower and reception stuff shopping, had lunch with Brian's sister, nephew and daddy at Steak and Shake, made dinner for Ray and Leslie and we had the Sarah McLachlan concert Saturday night. she was awesome. it was a great night. Hannah went with us and we had kick-ass seats, right chick? the opening act was really good too. Hannah bought her CD but we didn't want to wait in line for an hour to get it autographed. Sunday I finished the directional signs for the park and did some laundry and grocery shopping. took a nap, made dinner and that was about it. I still have a ton of stuff to do before Saturday, but I know it will all get done somehow.

I better go get some work done now.

we have wedding stuff all over the house. it's crazy, there are shopping bags of decorations, etc. everywhere. shoes, clothes, cds, bleh. 18 days, that number makes me nervous. we still have a lot of stuff to do, including our vows. on the plus side, I did finally finish the guest book. I've only been working on it since February. now we only have to finish the centerpieces and favors and card box, make directional signs, measure and cut tableclothes, find Casey's purse and Brian's shoes, take the suit and shirts to the cleaners, hem Hannah's pants, meet with the reverend, plan, buy and prepare the food, buy the alcohol, put up decorations and get married! actually, that doesn't sound too bad.

other news: Hannah went to the Warped Tour today with Jack and Hable and Josh. I hope she has a good time!

we got an RSVP from Wagy yesterday, yay!!! I'm really glad he's going to be able to make it. actually I'm glad about everyone who is going to be there and I'm pretty sad about the people who aren't. but, if everyone showed up we'd have about 200 people there, which would be crazy.

Brian found the shirt he wanted to match his suit for the wedding. I saw him in the whole outfit last night and he looks so amazing. we also got him some other dress shirts last night at Lazarus. good sales. all he needs now is shoes and we already know where to get them. the kids all have their outfits so I think we're all set there. 22 more days, wow.

this past weekend was great. I knew it would be. it started out kinda' slow, I wasn't feeling that great Friday night. I think Brian was disappointed that we didn't go anywhere, but hopefully Saturday night made up for that. Saturday before the show was pretty busy. we got Hannah's outfit for the wedding and our toasting glasses, which are beautiful. shopping was fun but tiring. we had yummy Grinders for lunch. Bennie's was a blast, we had such a great time, the band was fun and crazy as usual. some of Brian's friends from work showed up, which was very cool. and the girls were there the whole night, even Casey, who I thought would be bored by 9.

26 days left. that's so soon!!!

Brian and I had a lovely day off yesterday. we had breakfast together at the coffee house, got our marriage license (29 more days! hopefully Brian doesn't try to tempt me with getting married at the courthouse right away too many more times. I could easily be persuaded to say yes!), Brian cooked burgers on the grill for me and the girls for lunch, Hannah and I made centerpieces for the reception while lunch was cooking, Brian and I finally saw Spiderman 2 and then came home, ate a yummy dinner - seafood stuffed salmon, rice and green beans with a bottle of my new favorite wine, and watched the House of Sand and Fog, which Brian said was the most depressing movie he has ever watched.

all that togetherness made up for the time we spent apart while he went to the Cure concert with Jack Wednesday night. I took the girls (Casey and Marissa) to the mall for some wedding stuff shopping. Casey and I both found our shoes and I found a beautiful necklace to wear. the girls made teddy bears at Build a Bear. it was a lot of fun and really helped the time pass.

we have a great weekend coming up. KARMA10 is at Benny's Saturday night, which should be a lot of fun. and we're probably doing some more wedding shopping, I always love that. Sunday we have no plans, I always love that too.

I am totally loving my life these days.

-: I have almost two more hours of work today. I have a watermelon juice stain on my white t-shirt. Hannah got her fucking lip pierced. my sandwich from Wendy's had onions on it. I have nothing exciting to do at work today (it's life insurance, there's not much excitement to be had).

+: Brian's aunt is making our wedding cake as a present (how awesome is that?). I ate watermelon today. the wedding is in 33 days. we found a dress for Casey to wear to the wedding and it was an incredible bargain. Brian and I are both taking Thursday off, hopefully to get our marriage license. I just got to hear Brian say, "I love you."

the show last night was great. Annie Lennox was amazing and so was Sting. there were really hot lesbians sitting right in front of us and they were making out pretty much the whole time. they left the show early, presumably to have sex. it was really hard not to stare at them the whole night but I guess they weren't really looking for privacy in the middle of the amphitheater so I didn't really feel too bad. lots of people were giving them dirty looks, it was so weird. I guess I could never be a lesbian, the mean stares would make me cry. there was a really grumpy dude directly in front of us. even the lesbians didn't make him happy!

the dude at the drive-thru window of Tim Horton's said "cool tat." to me as I paid for my coffee.

I wake up in the middle of the night and find myself making wedding plans. it's so strange. I also find that I am obsessed with my beautiful new wedding band. everyone who has come over to our house since Friday has seen it, whether they wanted to or not.

Brian bought his wedding suit last night, and another suit because there was a great sale. it's awesome, I've never seen him in a suit before, he looked so amazing. I think I might have been drooling at the store a little. we get to pick it up on Friday. we're planning to take Casey dress shopping this week, that is going to be really fun! and we've all decided what everyone is wearing to the wedding, which was really more work than it seems. everything is really coming together now, I'm so excited. I hope everyone can make it still.

tonight we're going to the Sting concert. yay Sting! the next 39 days are going to be so much fun, but I can't wait until they're over.
